i want to see it so badly. every review i've read or heard about it says its incredibly compelling, even if you have no knowledge of or interest in formula one (or cars or racing or anything).definitely going to catch it this week. talk about this here.
av88 side panels are definitely different than 89, in both size and shape. this is particularly important where the hole for the fuel tap is concerned. i would think $100 would be reasonable, mostly because, as mentioned, the only way to find a set is to wait for one on ebay france, and then pay for shipping.
oh man, where were you when i had my av88?
"Wearing safety gear means your thinking of crashing. If you think your going to crash you will."unless youre joking, this is literally the stupidest thing ive ever seen posted on the internet.
i believe you want a 35 inch belt. email mahoney from m23. i just sold him my bike, with the new belt on there. he'll give you the exact specs. im pretty sure a 38 is way too big.
lens is in perfect shape. $75.
top. will go on ebay soon.
"NewsFlash:If the kids who stole the bikes were black then call them black. If you don't like it then go in the corner and cry you pussies....."
I had this shipped from France a few months back. This particular unit is a lot harder to find than the rounded version, or the square headlight housing with the rectangular speedo. My Wards Riverside AV88 came from the factory with this same unit.Looking to make back the money I spent to but these and have them shipped. Email if interested.
p.s. i have an original owners maintenance manual to go with this
as a couple folks have asked, i could possibly deliver it if its not ridiculously far, but i would want to be reimbursed.and the stator is an unusual WIPAC british unit, but you can swap the whole thing out for a standard moby one, if youd prefer something a little more standard.
email received. i cant really hold this bike or do weird or unusual things in lieu of cash payment. i can be accommodating within reason, but like most things, the first buyer who puts cash in my hand gets the bike. this has already been sold/unsold once in the past week, so i can't do it again.when the bike is actually sold i will say as much in this thread. until then, anyone interested sho
bought a motorcycle that i need the money for. bike was already sold, which is why i havent posted it until now, but the buyer had to back out at the last minute, hence its posted here.kills me to sell it. i'll never get a chance to buy another, but alas, this is how it goes. i'm trying to think of this as an exercise in not getting to attached to material possessions.
before you decorate your truck you should remember that 99% of the general public things the word "ped" refers directly to feet or pedophilia.
P.S. this is basically a Motobecane rebadged and sold through Raleigh. Anything you can do to an AV7 engine you can do to this.
For sale is my 1966 (Canadian) Raleigh RM12/Super50. This is an extremely rare bike.Right now it's set up with the stock av89 high comp head and a 70cc parmakit. It's super fast and lightweight due to being a hard tail. Giant 19" wheels make it a joy to ride.Right now I'm running 19x2 Pirelli whitewalls, and I have an extra, brand new Continental whitewall to go with it. I rec
dont worry. theyre trying to get rid of this (which is now happening in dorchester/mattapan/roxbury with some regularity. start it at 4:00 to see what i mean):the mayors office has already cleared this up. they are not after properly registered mopeds and scooters. theyre after dudes literally riding unregistered dirtbikes and ATVs on and off-road. and yes, they are essentially suggesting a ban on
someone is failing to understand the classical usage of "liberal democracy"
micah posted a thread last summer witht he napa part numbers for the bushing to use that are softer and will last longer than your actual moped. ive been running them since--much smoother ride, and theyre invincible. and you get like 4 sets for $10. and they slip right in. use those.
the only team more completely weenerish and whiny than the canadiens were the canucks. what a bunch of flopping, spineless stiffs. it was pretty sweet when the refs started raining embellishment calls down on them halfway through the series. but, even though vancouver, as a team, turned out to be a total bunch of pussies, at least their fans never CALLED THE COPS on any bruins players cause they
i'm serious, though.shipping that far will probably be a bitch since usps does dimensional weight + distance. probably like $60 shipped for this actually period-correct seat.
i have a stock, all-white seat that originally came on my '64 av88. but you'd have to figure out how much its WORTH.
oh please. vancouver fans burned their own city down because they couldnt handle their cheap-shot front-running team losing to a tougher group of hockey players---OR DID THEY????
does the city of vancouver still exist?
tremendous bike. what color?
thanks everyone who has been inquiring. this bike has been sold.
plus, as i have recently learned, its not just about replacing hoses. you have to vacuum the system till its empty, then refill it, which you need special tools for. plus an empty system can lead to damage to other components.not really a DIY fix unless youre really good at these types of things.
