tomos are easy to time it's almost 1 degree to 1 mm of the flywheel so just set it at 17 - 20mm at idle and whatever the box does at rpm will keep it cool

the stock a55 will get you to 45+new rings if you have a bunch of miles on it port it just a bit i would call it a clean up.gear it out 31x22air filterestoril pipejet itnew clutch & spring for both 1st and 2nd (replace the j spring) and run it

Get the timing set to 18 and that you dont have sparks coming from the points...then i would get a different pipe just about anything will be better on that kit with your weightthen start jetting115 mains and 17.5 for idle needle in the middle

that kit likes timing set it to 18 put a NGK 8 or NGK 9 i would start with a 9 jet in the mid 70syou might need to check to see if the piston is clearing the ports and what your port trimming is its been a long time but i think that kit needed 2 mils of exhaust timing to really get going

I love a3 i would start with a pipe, crank seals, New points and Spark plugs.after you have it running amazing then get a kit, head, intake and carb.

well if you do get it to run right it will only do it for a short time before the crank blows up so i would start will a rebuild

it will last i have done it to puch and tomos still running years latter.but now take it to the next stepspin the main gear down just make it flat on both sidesweld and spin the clutch down just to make it 100% round and flat

you need to do a leak down test google it if that goes ok witch it wont then1st thing you do when tinning a moped is set the timing you should be at 17 or 18then jet itthen tune your clutchif you still cant do 45 port the shit out of the kit and then if you still cant do 45 put an 80 on it

i think most of the time problems with a55 Clutch come for 1 of 3 parts being bad or all 3#1 and most important is the clutch bell out of round most A55 bells are not#2 unevenly or mis manufactured gears making the chain go tight then loos over and over again#3 worn chain (they dont last forever)i like to run just ATF but i do overfill around 20% and i do run the j spring if every thing is working

drill a 1/8 hole in the middle of the Puch crest in you gas cap to vent it betterI have had a few puchs do this on high rpm

I like both but for a fun street daily rider 50mph bike i will take a notched. I fell like the are nicer in traffic then a TJT but if you dont have much Traffic then go TJT
