Last night I re-installed my 15.15 on my Moby after I had robbed it for my Pinto...I have the curvy intake...Before, it idled perfect with the back tire barely moving at all when on the stand. I think I was two full turns out...Now, it idles way fast. No matter how far I turn out the screw it idles too fast.i'm thinking air leak, as it's a bitch to screw the carb on tight because the cyl

Bret, that fan is certainly hold the engine back. When I installed a new front sprocket a while ago, I rode it for a couple minutes without the fan... MAJOR difference. You'd be amazed just how much drag that fan creates.Without it, the bike was crazy responsive and fast.Too bad I can't ride all the time without it...

I just rode my moby with the SHA 15.15.Very very nice.Go for it.

If it really works, that's cool.I'd like to have a spare fan for my V1 so I could try to make something similar.

I personally want the Gila kit for my kickstart korado motor.Reed valve = YUMMYHowever, I'd be interested to hear first hand accounts about all of the kits you mentioned Jae.

WOW.That's the coolest Tomos I've ever seen.Hands down the coolest.Fuckin' rad.So, how well does the second RC Nitro Fuel carb make it perform? If it's like it looks... hold on!

What happens when you partially cover the air filter/intake with your hand?Try restricting the air into the carb.Just my .02

I can get OKO carbs CHEAP.Seriously, pretty damn cheap.21mm & 24mm OKO like 55 or 60 bucks I think. Smaller sizes like 18mm are more expensive for some reason...My friends at the local scooter shop can get them for me anytime.Let me know if you're interested and I'll call them up...

That's bit cooler of a plug than you need.In south FL where it gets nutty hot, I use a B8HS for my kitted bike to keep the temp down.I would suggest a NGK B7HS for your Tomos or Puch dude...

Just a quick FYI nerdo... I've got a 54 jet in my 15.15 Dellorto... My moby loves it.Screen filter inside and the black filter cover thing are intact.I know, 54 sounds small, but the plug chops come out perfect and it runs like a champ... well, you know that, you rode it...I know you have a performance exhaust, but the jets you are using sound too large... I'd try upper 50s or lower 60s

You guys should check out Oko carbs. My buddy can get them CHEAP from his scooter shop. Jets too!I've been real impressed with them, and I plan to use one when I kit my Pinto.Custom intake, the whole shabang. As for Bing vs. Dellorto...All the way Dellorto. Just plain easier.Yeah, I'm kinda lazy.

Thanks Ben.Just wait til this shit has been powdercoated.Oh God.I love how you can't see wires... just cables. The frame brace bar, and the custom wirebox that runs up the tube and under the seat made all the wiring easy to hide and completely unique looking...And for the record, for the most part I completely agree with Bret on this carb thing. In my experience the Dellorto far outweighs the B

Good point Maitland.I didn't think of that...

I posted about this in the general forum, but I wanted to share my recent "performance tuning" attempt.Yesterday I robbed the Dellorto 15.15 on my Moby 50v and put it on my Pinto project with the kick-start cdi Korado motor.First, I removed the stock Korado 14mm intake and "18" (really 14mm) Bing carb. The intake is one I got from Treats and it's part of a party pack thingy

Sweet. How did you address the longer cables issue?
JCampbell — 14 years ago
Seriously Wari, you never cease to amaze me with your know-how.Good stuff.

I run a Puch Techno Estoril on my 75cc Minarelli V1 with an 18mm Carb...Here's a pic.http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee189/JCampbell_07/Lazer1-29-08.jpgLots of oily crap on my exhaust... I gotta start mixing leaner ; )

Yep, once you remove the variator, the clutch puller just threads on. A couple turns of the through bolt and the clutch assembly will just pop right out. It's really quite simple.I thought I had some handy pics to post, but no...No manual on this computer either...You'll figure it out I'm sure.If not, I can post pages from the manual tomorrow...Good luck.
