Well, Now I'm going to have to design a set of pipes for my pacer, because those look Bad Ass
I bet the differ, a mineral based oil and synthetic could have the same API certification, but the synthetic has a thinner characteristic than mineral oil does, mineral is more "gritty" as it were.
I think my 14/12 has a 57 on it, but now I also bored out the intake manifold from 8mm to about 11mm almost matches the carb so we'll see how that does when I finish my ped, and why bore out your carb? Or how large is your intake bc you can only cram so much air in those tiny intakes and puting a bigger carb may not always help...or larger diameter of carb....
Yeah and leakage too with the synthetic, the stuff is so thin it gets past the seals, lol, and I have a morini so thanks!!!!
What is a good crankcase oil to use?
Before I tore mine down I was getting up to 34-35 stock, on piece of shit everything!
I was looking at 1977mopeds.com and I have a Pacer and of course not to complain, the only exhaust for my bike was a Polini and it is sold out. Anyways...I saw the two piece biturbo and in the little comment thing to the side he/she said that they even saw it fit onto a pacer, which I thought was interesting and was curious to know if anyone here has seen or done it.-James
thanks guys, grey that site really helped out, thats exactly what i was looking for!
does anyone know what the formula is to build an expansion chamber the right way?
ya there is a certain formula you have to use on the chambers otherwise it wont run exactly to its full potential
I wish i could get a picture of my bike and my gas tank (a.k.a. gatorade bottle) but i was thinking of building my own too, my dad used to ride 2 strokes and build his own chambers all the time so hes going to help me with that but i'll post a picture when its done!!!
Is there any way without buying new parts to get more power out of my italtelai?
does anyone know what parts if there are any are interchangable with an italtelai, like chambers or big bore kits for the engine?
oh, has anyone ever ran a wire straight from the headlight, to ground with the engine wiring....
Well I bought some LED tailights, but they are 12v, for my pacer, I still have to wire them in though, and I'm still waiting on my Pirelli ML75's to come in this week, then I can start the wiring and running, oh yeah, and I snapped my exhaust stud ^^peace,The Other Jim
my shoes are not worn down yet, but I dont know if there is a ghetto rig you could do off another italian ped type, check for marking on the hub, there might be a universal use of our hubs, therefore we could use parts made for other bikes....
oh and get a pick to clean out the tip, then use the bees wax
fuckin alex is hilarious, I was on my ass I was laughing so hard at the machine gun thing and the escalade, but I was wondering myself about switching my system to a 12 volt system and maybe get a hotter spark? I'm thinking performance...and chocolate muffins
get some bee's wax on the bit, run the bit through some bees wax and then do your porting
you have overheating, lack of oil in the mixture, mainly too much heat builds up, the piston expands too much for the cylinder and stops itself. Or the piston grenaded and fucked up everything!
Well the thing is I was working on 2 garrelis just like yours, but only one tail light assembly which I switched off, the problem was that when no assembly was there I would hit the brake and it would short out the system and kill the engine (which I'm guessing you have found out, if you havnt go try) this is how I found out which wire is which, try hooking the wires together, 2 at a time and
well one is going to be your running ligtht, one is going to be the switch light, and one is going to be ground (usually a black wire) so get a volt meter and test wires, and I just bought a L.E.D. for my ped too lol, but I havn't put it in yet (gotta figure out the wires myself)
