I have a `1980 honda express with a 65cc big bore kit on it. I found that you need to drill out the jet to a #81. But when I went to a hardware store the only thing i found was a .0810. Is this the same thing. If you have any info on what size to drill out the jet because you have done it or know anything about the sizes please if u could share them i would greatly appreciate it
OKay I just started messing with the kill switch and still cant figure it out. I was able to take off the kill swittch part on the handlebar and it looks to be fine. I started the moped and took a peice of metal and touched the end which is suposed to kill the engine and it didnt. I traced the wiring to the coil and it didnt look like anything was out of place. Any suggestions?
Yeah if you could send me a pic that would be great. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Like the title states, I am just wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket kill switch on their moped and what the job entails. I have a 2001 Targa and something is messed up in the handle controls and wont let me kill the engine using that switch. I tried unbolting it to check it out but the bolt is froze up. Can I have 2 kill switches hooked up with just one being able to work? Does anyo
Its definitly not a worn belt, its chain and gear driven.
I just got it running. As it turned out the choke was put on wrong by the prevous owner so it kept flooding the engine. Now I still have a couple of issues, it only runs on choke. I dont know why, but it runs really nice on choke. Sometimes it also quits while idling, I adjusted the idle screw to the right setting also but it still quits. The last problem it it has no working kill switch, I can fe
I still cant seem to figure it out... it has a clean carb, strong compression, good spark and is getting fuel to the cylinder. Could old oil be the problem or the oil pump? Where is the oil pump and how can I bypass it and run a 50:1 mix?
Yeah, the gas but not the oil in the oil tank. Does the oil pump ever go bad on these and could possibly create this problem? Also, wouldnt the moped still fire when spraying starting fluid in the cylinder whether the gas/oil is bad or not?
Another peice of advice that might be useful is that it doesnt even fire when i spray carb cleaner in the cylinder
Right now I have a ngk b6hs I think, I know it matched right up to the F75 plug that the factory recommends. I cleaned the carb and I have the factory jet in it. It used to run fine but sat for a couple years and now its in the condition where it sits. I personally think that the spark is sparking at the wrong time, thats why I was wondering if there is a way to adjust this?
Is there any other things that could be the culprit? Because no matter how hard i kick it down it gets good spark. Is there timing that can be adjusted, and how would I do it?
Any help would be really appreciated!
I just found out that it has a cdi ignition, can this be modified?
Hi,I just bought a 2001 Tomos Targa. It ussually fires up but only if you give it full throttle, and even in full throttle it has a really low and weak idle and eventually dies. The more I kick it over the more I smell gas and a thick mixture of gas and oil slowly comes out of the exhaust. I pulled the plug and notices it was wet with gas but it does have a really strong spark. I was thinking the
I have a 1986 honda spree that runs and has a good idle but whenever i reach a speed of 25 or give alot of gas it boggs out until i slow the speed down then it perks back up. What could be causing this? Also, what are the carb adjustments? How many turns does the idle stop screw need from fully closed outward, and how many turns does the air screw need from being fully turned in?Thanks Alot,Geoff
I have a 1977 Batavus Starflite with a bad clutch. I found a new clutch but would like advice on how to install it. Any advice would be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks Geoff
Now that the bore kit is installed and everything should have been ready it only allows me to kick the the ratchet start down like 4 times and when I press the brake lever it turns over but only once. When I pull off the points chrome cover I can turn the screwuntil it feels like somehting releases like a spring in the crankcase but agian only allows me to kick it down 4 times. If I take the crank

Hi just wondering if you have an aftermarket carb on it, or an upjetted carb. My carbs choke is a little messed up and it might be easier to just replace it. Let me know if you have one and I would be interested if the price is right.
