yes, i have seen that. thanks. i am currently trying to get the flywheel cover off, and don't have $15 to drop on the puller...

okay okay, i'm getting the idea that hands on is the fastest way for this to get done.pulled the engine off; disassembling now... could i borrow a puller for the flywheel cover? any ideas on how to (cheaply) fashion one/ clutch puller?
(repost from repair section)hey,i
yeah, i think that's reall the problem. gotta wait a bit to buy the tool, pretty soon though i'll make it down to the castle on mondays!
yeah i've got it up, but i can't effectively use a mallet to remove the flywheelif someone can mallet the crap out of it(to remove) without denting it, i'd say thats worth a few beers....but the puller would make me a lot more comfortable.thanks, kris
... perhaps could i use your flywheel puller?

Yeah, i think that both of those would work.but between rent and food, my toolbox only has like wrenchesscrewdrivers and vise grips. i could splurge on a hacksaw, but i was hoping someone in SF had cut down a set already.I know it sounds cheap, but i really need to save for a new/good condition air filter. Thanks for the suggestion... I'm going to see if any geezers in the neighborhood have a m
Hello all,Just found a set of cheap clubman bars for the magnum. They are really really wide, like 28 inches. Is there a better way than a hacksaw to do this?Any one in SF able to lend me a tool/ have the time to cut them?I don't have any cash, but maybe we can work out a deal. Thanks,Kris
hah, I'm retarded...Didn't take off the second valve nut...That damn nut ripped a hole right next to the valve, silly me.thanks.
Hello all,I just picked up a Puch magnum 1-speed that needed a tube change in the front.I went out and got some tire irons more suitable for mopeds(mine being the plastic variety for bikes) and a tube. The bead was way rougher to get off than on a 700c rim, but after some time i got it one side off and removed the tube.I replaced the tube, and put on the valve collar about halfway and gave it a few
bump.no ones got a front end for me?
my kit is waay to faast for my brakes!looking to convert the magnum's front end to disc.anyone got the whole setup(much like 1977, except price!)maybe it's off of a dirtbike, but happens to have the right length forks...seriously i'm up for anything.Know where to get it? Let me know!

isn't edinburgh castle a pub?i'm not 21 yet, so i'll try to find you guys outside?i live on 9th and california, and there are a bunch of mopedersdown the street. possibly creatures? i don't know, but i've beentalking to all the kids with cafe'd magnums as much as i could.if you are down this way, and 'ped, l'd like to meet up.but i'll probably just pick
any chance you are in the city?if you are doing a build up, i was wondering if i could watch/help/learn.I(along with everyone else) am trying to build a magnum in SF,and I'm sure the experience would help.thanks,Kris
how much?how many miles?any pics?will you ship?sorry for the barrage of questions, i just really freakin want a top tank!Kris
if you don't want to, would you ask your friend if he'd ship another one of his?
come on ...ship it to me!*obviously i'd pay for the shippingKris
im not doing that well, luca.i keep finding overpriced ones that are already cafe'd out.but they are really pricey and i really want to customize it myself.on a side note,do you guys know about solo seats?i noticed that a lot of magnum riders are keeping their seats simple and small.i like the "bump stop" look, though, but i dont know if a fiberglass one makes sense for my budget.go
hey where are you located?even if you don't want to sell it, maybe you'd let me look at yours to see what to look for. i've done a little bit of work on an aprilia rs50 but im new to mopeds.
hey i don't have contact with any moped riders in my area; moved up here and haven't met anyone yet.should i just start flagging down kids with sweet bikes?
hehe, i understand.*the last question was mileage*but i guess i should have inferred the age, based purely on his post quality.if he's underage, i'll still try to buy the 'ped.if i had an agreement written up by his parents, i'd feel much safer though.
