yeah, actually wasn't me, tho. someone posted yesterday about the tecno boss being in stock. i just wanted to know what the big deal on the pipe was.
well, shit... i guess i should have ordered one while they were in stock at mopedshop yesterday. they're out of stock again now...
whoops... or tecno i mean!
i don't know anything about them firsthand, but everyone with a maxi seems to want or has one. are they that great of an exhaust for a puch? i read the review in the wiki and it wasn't very good. just wondering... thanks!
eventually in the far...far...far future i hope to make it a really fast bike. i want it just to run first, but i'm really excited about possibilities. i'll keep an eye out for a 16 tooth sprocket. i'm in portland too, so i may hit you up with more questions/help in the future. thanks!-hayden
thanks for the info. i will keep posting the progress!
so, i'm about to embark on my first real moped project, a puch maxi, 1977. it is a 1HP. my intent is to get it running, and eventually kit it. so, my question is will it make a difference in performance when kitted if it is a 1HP, 1.5 or a 2? probably sounds like a silly question, but this will be the first time i have ever done this, so input, experience would be appreciated! thanks.
i'll check it out. see you in portland sometime? weather's getting better...
i keep getting invited! i love drunken moped rowdiness! but i have to get up at 5 in the am for work! i want to come out really bad and i think one of these weeks i'll just say fuck it and be tired the next day, that's what coffee's for, right?
Hey! are you still in portland, oregon? your profile says chicago. i'm the kid that you were trying to help with mopeds about two summers ago. i lived down the street from you, with the vespa bravo. anyway, just wanted to say hi.-hayden
good to know... mainly i'm worried about messing things up and not being able to replace parts if things go wrong. i've checked kreidlerparts.com and didn;t really see anything that looked like it would work with a flory.
wow... that bike is sick! yeah, i've been told that I could put a tomos engine in it too, and get more speed that way... but I was kinda hoping for an exhaust I could just slap on and gain a few more mph.
have a stock kreidler flory, goes about 35 now. possible to make it faster, or am i doing 35 forever? not that i'm complaining... but haven't seen any kits or pipes compatible. parts are hard to come by, so i don't want to mess anything up! thanks!
does anyone know if 50cc nl usually takes forever to ship an order? i have been waiting almost a month. typical?
did you get you moped running yet? i have a vespa bravo, and have almost the same set up. i have a malossi 12mm 70cc kit on order and i currentally have a proma exhaust on my ped. the proma exhaust is awesome... without the kit, it has added 10 more mph to my top speed. where are you ordering your stuff from? mine is on order from 50cc nl and it is taking forever!
I have a vespa bravo and a proma exhaust pipe.
I have recentally noticed oil on my back tire after rides. Does this mean I am mixing too much oil with gas? Also, I recentally got a new exhaust pipe... would this be something that would cause this? Never has this problem before...
lately, my bravo has been slower to start. it used to start right up on the first or second rotation, now it takes sometimes five tries or so before i can get it going. sometimes it seems like the throttle doesn't open all the way up. it starts, but bogs down and sputters to a halt. how easy should a moped start up? is this pretty normal, or should i be concerned. also... one more question- t
fractions confuse the heck out of me... thanks!
okay, so the tire on my bravo blows out today and i am trying to order a new set. the size on the tire reads 16" x 2" 1/4. have checked 1977 mopeds and moped warehouse and their inventory of 16" inch tires are 16" x 2.25 or 16" by 2.75... what would be the size i need? thanks in advance...
thanks in advance for the help! check your email...
i am putting a malossi 70cc speed kit in my bravo and a new exhaust... how important is it to replace the carb? thanks!
polini or malossi? for a vespa bravo which is better- i don't know too much about either. thanks!
i would love to come up for a ride... i just need a backroads route to seattle from portland. i have been really wanting to take a trip on the ped and put some miles on it!
i am torn between a polini or malossi speed kit for a vespa bravo. does anyone have knowledge of the pros and cons of the two or could recomend which one would be better preformance wise? all opinions and feedback is appreciated!
where did you score those sweet saddlebags?
mine is a '77- like yours. i'll be making the trek up to seattle sooner than later. i am willing to spend whatever it takes to get it running at top speed. glad to see there is a shop that specializes in mopeds!
thanks... i will check them out. do you know how much they cost?
where can you get 70cc speed kits? do they work on vespa bravos? mine goes about 25- 30 mph, and i just want to go faster! any information or suggestions would be helpful! thanks
