I need a replacement chain for my 78 Cimatti top tank. Any suggestions on where I can find one? Will a regular bike chain work?
Oh, and it has the Dellorto 13.13 with the Malossi air filter, and a Polini pipe.
when you get it up to a decent speed (I would tell you a specific speed, but the speedo no longer works), it bogs down....like the throttle cuts out for a few seconds. Any clue what would be causing this?Am I running too lean, causing it to four stroke?Any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance,Justin Suicycle
Are there any aftermarket pipes that fit the Minarelli V1 motor?I ride a 1978 Cimatti Gran Prix top tank, and I am looking for a little boost. Thought an exhaust might help a little.thanks in advance,Justin Suicycle

How many coats of clearcoat?Any suggestions are welcome.Painting two mopeds, a Faded red Kinetic and a Silvery 1978 Puch Maxi. The Kinetic is going Black with pink/white pinstriping, and is already nicknamed

I have recently fell in love with the Cimatti Gran Prix. It is a beautiful top tank specimen. Not that I have one, but in case I can find one, how hard (or easy) is it to find replacement parts for Cimatti peds? Expensive?Any information would be greatly appreciated.-Justin

After fellow Suicycle Killer Kelso's wreck, her kinetic badly needs a new front end. the Forks are badly tweaked.Just wondering if any of y'all had a set laying around, or if y'all could point me in the right direction. Thanks again. Here's to the undead.
I'll throw this to the top.I know that Harold and co have a boatload of Puch parts. I also know that it might take them a couple of weeks to sort through it all.So, if you know you've got a throttle assembly lying around, I would love to take it off your hands. Thanks again, y'all make this site great.
Please send me a list of parts available for the Puch Maxi.Thanksjustinlonghorn@gmail.com
Just purchased a 1980 Puch Maxi, and it needs the throttle assembly. Just wondering if anyone had one laying around that they wanted to get rid of.
by far one of the nicest custom peds I have seen. Damn good work.
I wouldn't buy a used helmet. Some of the guys I ride with will replace their helmets even if they just drop them.A helmet is made to absorb the impact of ONE accident. After that, they are not as structurally sound. The tiniest crack can cause a helmet to completely fail when put to the test.I say buy new. I posted the website name a few posts ago that has two different brands of full-face
<www.newenough.com>They have a couple of different Full-Face helmets on sale right now for around $50. Icon and HJC, both of which are well known brands.
hey 2speed,I see you have a first Generation SV. Did you go to the SV rally this year? Have you ever been to the SVrider.com site?
2004 Suzuki SV650I went up to the deal's gap in TN/NC in June. By far the most fun I have had on two wheels.
Yeah, the previous owner removed the speedo. Moped speedo's are generally pretty useless anyway.
