6. Re: Puch Handle Bars???

JLEE — 15 years ago
Forum: Repair
yes the goose neck.what's cool about that- is if you find a pair of handle bars you like, you can use the single or double clamp style.i had a hard time finding bars i liked for my magnum because it has the fork tree mount style.it seemed all the bars i liked had the single raised center.finally found some bars with the doubled center mounts on a trek mountain bike.at least you have options.

JLEE — 15 years ago

I own a TFR.On the top of the cylinder head there is the decompression cable inlet. Make shure its tightened down. Also sounds like your head bolts may be loose.I recognize your sure its the carb-so was I.Then I discovered that to tighten the belt you have to move the engine forward. Also, runs like shit with the wrong tail light bulbs.Ok, so i just re-read my response. Check the threaded bolt that y

JLEE — 15 years ago
Forum: Repair
I was blowing condensers on a 78 garelli. 3 in a month. I noticed the wire casings were split on the coils. i replaced the wires, soldered new ones in, and checked my timing. The condenser for garelli is soldered to the top. I think yours may be screwed to the condensor. 20. Re: Puch only runs good with choke.

jlee — 15 years ago
Forum: Repair
Your main jet may have three notches on it.mine was doing the same thing at one time.try moving the clip to the bottom notch.this allows more fuel flow.also make shure your carb is clean.if your fuel filter is dirty you'll have recurring problems.also the thickness of your air filter controls your air intake.try different materials, foam is best.once you have air and fuel flow try and adjust y
