Thanks! I’m not really sure what parts to buy. I’m assuming an A35 first and second gear clutch. My fears don’t look terrible to me. There’s a shadow/reflection so you have to look closely where at first glance it looks like the tops of teeth are missing but they’re there. I’m not really sure what I’m doing or what parts I need

Alright folks, I got around to opening it up. The oil looked decent with just a little “sparkle”.But; it looks like the clutch exploded. It continued to fall apart when I messed with it.The gear teeth, to me, looked good. When I try and take apart the clutch it just spins so I’m assuming I need a special tool. The pedal are no longer stuck once the clutch started falling apart. Can you guys look a

If he gets it to idle low the sprocket will engage and he’s on his way. We can’t the thing to idle with out hand on the throttle but that’s for another day.

Is there a resource somewhere explaining how to adjust the transmission nut or replace the sprocket. I can take it apart and try and figure it out myself but I’m assuming there may be some knowledge that I may benefit from knowing on the front end. I’ve searched but can’t find anything other than a manual with very very difficult drawings of the components.

Thanks. I’ll try and figure out what to look for with the sprocket and what not this weekend.

Doesn’t he have to kick start the bike on the stand. That’s what I’m talking about. Once it hits the ground it doesn’t want to propel the back when like it does when it’s on stand.

So on my son’s 1997 Tomos Sprint, he kick starts the engine and the chain spins and the back tire spins in the air. When the bike then is pushed off the stand to start moving forward the throttle no longer moves the back wheel and the sprocket doesn’t look like it’s moving and the the chain begins to shake. The chain also seems to have some oil on it (not normal lube) but that may have been from h

Success! Starts every time. Thank you so much. Replaced the plug too and it’s going.Last question. I know the the dude I bought the bike from says it’s hotrodded or some BS but it doesn’t idle. It sounds like it’s close to idle but won’t hold. I turned the idle screw on the side all the way in till it won’t go anymore but no dice. Any cool enumerated lists for fixing that as well? 😬

Thank you so much. How do I drain the “float bowl” 😬

So my 12 year old just got this bike for just putting around the neighborhood two days ago. Today he’d been riding it around and then couldn’t start it. I found that the spark plug had gotten loose, tightened it, and it started and ran again. I’m using 40:1 fresh, from Home Depot. Well, the bike is “hot rodded” whatever that means and it doesn’t idle, you have to give it a little gas all the time.
