I noticed a missing spoke on a friends Puch, and when I tried to replace it, I noticed the hole in the rim has mushroomed out a bit, so the hole is too large to hold the nipple. Is there any way to fix this or is the rim toast?

Anyone trying to sell a moped in the Albany area or nearby? A friend of mine is looking to get one.

I'm having a strange issue with my centrifugal clutch. It seems to want to grab too easily! Case in point: I'm coasting down a hill, engine off and ignition on. All of a sudden, the clutch will grab out of nowhere and the engine will start.Sometimes, the clutch seems to not want to disengage at all. This morning I was pushing the moped out to the street, and there was a lot of rolli

I thought I'd update this thread. After triple checking everywhere for air leaks, cleaning out the carb, checking for a cracked intake, checking for clogged fuel filters, and replacing the spark plug, nothing improved. Wanting a ridable moped, I upjetted to 61 and that seemed to fix the problem. Here's where it gets weird. I rode the ped like this for a week, and it performed but it be

I have a very strange problem with my moped. After sitting over the weekend, my engine is acting like it’s lean. It lacks power and won’t rev very high even on the kickstand. If I partially cover the air inlet, it revs much higher like it’s running lean. I don’t understand how this is possible when it was running great a couple days ago and nothing has changed. I’ve already tried changing the plug

Trying to dial in my Morini m01 and I’m missing these sizes. Anyone have spares?
Andrew Parnes — 1 year ago
I’m going to be upjetting soon so I’ll be doing plug reads to dial that in. All the instructions on this site say to use a fresh plug for this. Is that really necessary? I feel like I’ll be running through a lot of plugs…

I should add that I often use the ped to commute to work.

I have a bone stock 77 Pacer with a Morini MO1. Rebuilt the top end and 14/12 SHA carb last year. Runs great and tops out at 28mph on flat, which seems correct for the engine.I’ve been mulling over the idea of putting on a better pipe and upjetting as it seems like a straightforward performance mod. Should the bottom end be rebuilt as a precaution before I attempt this or just let it rip?

Trying to find a better path for the fuel line. Can the fuel inlet banjo be clocked any way other than 12? Ideally I’d run it at 9 o clock. All photos of the carb show it at 12.

5% is obviously a 1:20 mix, but 1/5 pint is ~1:32. What the hell?

Pretty much asking if it’s ok to “engine brake” a 2 stroke. My thinking is, with the throttle closed, the piston isn’t getting (much) oil, but the engine may still be spinning quite fast. What’s the consensus here?

What material is the drain plug washer? Plastic, copper, paper? Can I just use a copper washer? It’s leaking and I need a new one…

I was cleaning my M01 engine with brake cleaner and took the ink right off the Morini sticker. The only replacements I could find are in Europe and would be very expensive to ship to the states, so I mocked some up on the computer. The font isn't perfect, but it's damn near identical to the original. I thought I'd share my work with the community in case anyone else needs them.Th

I have this exact moped. The frame number is stamped on the back of the steerer tube. You have to remove the gas tank to see it.

I'm working on rebuilding/restoring my 1977 Italtelai. One thing I noticed from the start was that the throttle handle did not spring back when let go. The throttle works (if you manually turn the handle back, the throttle closes), but I'd like it to have better return action. I've already replaced the cable and housing and the cable doesn't experience any extreme bends. As I
