come on someone...anyone?
also...where do I buy the proper dellorto?
I am looking to put a dellorto on my 79 50V. What parts should I buy to put it on? and where should I buy them?--NB
this is why we rag on 15 year old punks from NJ.
well a) seems like the dellortos are a PITA to put in...b) VIN search finds nothing since it is not the "standard" VIN length...
So...I have read a LOT of threads in here about tuning a moby:My moby does NOT have a VIN plate on it so I can not identify if it is an A/b/c style. I have the VIN number(since it was stamped on the frame) but does anyone know of a way to find the bike stats based on the VIN(including year/model/etc)?Also: My carb is a Gurtner "Diagram B" carb(if you check out http://themopedjunkyard.c
the water/vinegar won't work. Get Kreem. Save up it might take a bit.
as an added question....what is the difference between the A, B, C type carbs and how can I find out the difference?
yea I use the Bosch w8ac...great
if you can find what part it is, i probably have a spare you can have.--NB
moron me was .....wait for it....OUT OF GAS
I see a hole on top of the tank cover, and on the inside....seems like nothing is blocking the air passage....there is gas in the fuel line...thoughts?
hmmm how to check if air vent hole works?
filter is there....carb is clean...jet is clean....
So my MBK 50v gets going just fine....but then it starts sputtering...like it isn't getting enough gas..but there is plenty of gas in the tank and in the fuel line etc...This happens uphill, straightaway, downhill. Happened just now in a parking lot. Any thoughts?--NB
after my ride to a cycle shop today it seems that my shoes are fine...the pads have plenty of thickness left...anyone have an idea why they might not be catching on the drum?
I have a 79 50V. Moped Junkyard says that these pads are compatible with Puch and Peugot...but when I call up a local moped shop they say that there are 2 different motobecane brake models and one is smaller.... anyone nkow what he is talking about?also; How do you change out the shoes? Popping the springs off with a screwdriver seems easy enough, but putting it back on seems like what I call NO
did you buy a new throttle cable? or make one yourself? if yuo made one yourself what did you use/ I recently used a bike gear shift cable(ground down the end a little bit) and it worked great.--NB
i will get the electrical working this winter....while i have it stored for the winter....
ed helped big time...it almost sounds like a sticky clutch though...since it dies when the tire stops....will do the sand paper on saturday.--NB
yea it shot out the tiny hole...per instructions in another thread....thanks for the link Dan, you shoudl stop into the MA chatroom so I can stop harassing legendre....
no idea what oil i am using...
which product on that page is it dan?
dan, it is not a clogged idle circuit...put some carb cleaner through the circuit and nothing...sticky clutch: how to fix?
silverfox...nah i disagree with you...you can definitely soft solder it, or maybe even brass weld it....
So....it seems like there is something wrong with my electrical system on my bike...it runs fine but I notice a DISTINT power draw when I even turn the front headlight on(the light is burnt out but I mean if i flip the switch). Should i replace the wiring? It is all still the original wiring as when it was bought new in the late 70's..
I discovered a hole in my tank while kreem C'ing. Sucked hard...JB weld did great...the hole was about 1mm diameter...you could probably get away with using it on a 2mm diameter hole but thats about it....
powdercoat holds up both better and longer. This stuff is baked on and gas will not take it off...also it coats the bike and prevents Rust.
