Would be cool if it could hit Moped Army api for login verification so you could just use your MA credentials. Could be nextjs/react front end with an express api and mongo database. Also, could set up MA branch organizations in the app where each branch has their own homepage. Could make it like MySpace where each branch could write their own html, css, and javascript lol. Or…. Just choose from a

My headlight is the treats 55 watt halogen lens which idk it might draw

Anyone interested in buying this? Bike was made in Taiwan, of course, and is missing the left side cover and has a slightly bent right pedal arm. Runs and can get up to about 32 mph. Was bogging a little the other day when I ran it so I’ll try and fix that. Maybe shoot me an offer? I only want to sell to someone who knows what they are doing and I’m not looking to scalp anyone on the price. Locate

In my evolution from working on vintage bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles and all things mechanical, I am now working on an old 1930's chevy pickup. Does anyone have recommendations for websites similar to MA or thesamba, but for old vintage chevy pickups or engines? Maybe something that has literature and manuals? Thanks!

If you replace the condenser and still have no luck, you may need a new high tension coil. If you have another moped, try swapping out the high tension coils and seeing if that fixes it.

I just bought a 1980 Sachs Sparta Buddy which would shut off at idle when either brakes were squeezed. Turned out to be the burnt out tail light bulbs (there were two: one 5w and 15w). Rewired the cables to go straight to ground and bypass the bulb panel and voila, working moped. Adding to the knowledge *chefs kiss*

Hey Moped Army,Any idea what these Sachs Spartas might be worth, and would you mind sharing some of your wisdom with me? I believe they are both 1980 Buddies with roughly 700 miles. Most likely will kit them and seller is asking $500 for each. I think that sounds pretty decent but please feel free to roast me.

Friend of mines mother lives in Cuenca. We’ve been planning the same trip for a while and are going to buy/rent bikes when we get there. You can buy most everything with USD and it’s probably safer in Ecuador than it is in Florida lmao.

In the 80’s and early 90’s Schwinn was top of the line.
