I’ve hit 55 by using the yt60 kit, and raising the exhaust to get like 25 degrees blowdown, prep the cylinder and case for good flow and get a good pipe (mlm should do). My set up Hits 11k rpm for now
So last year I adapted a yt60 jug to them motorized bike kits. Made a reed valve bolt to the case, added a third case case transfer, made a bastard pipe out of scrap metal and what ever pipes I had lying around. The thing only hit 38 mph but it had great torque and I was even able to make good money doing food delivery with it. I eventually cold seized it unfortunately cause I was a scrub who didn
Vertical liquid cooled for a derbi? 43 stroke? The DUI bike people did it first lol.
Hey OP did you have to harden your gear after machining it?
Yeah imma just end up buying a 40mm stroke crank, I’m running a short rod 38. Still concerned about my reed though cause I’ve had a similar issue before where a big reed increased too much volume to not run. And thoughts about carb size?Picture is of reed cage I’m using vs what the intake manifold looks like. I’m using some weird plastic spacer from treatland and thick gasket just so the reed cage
I can ditch the cork and use a stack of 1mm gasket and copper sheet. I used the cork cause it was thick enough to space my reed from hitting my cylinder.
Lol honestly the pipe sits well as is I just use duct tape in case of vibes. When it gets more official I use metal straps it’s just more easier to cut tape during testing..... I’m also using a 24mm dellorto phbl carb running 40 idle jet if that matters. It has a score now although it is not the deepest, but not the lightest ;_;
So I made a cool moped, this is a dt50 aircooled cylinder that treatland offers. I made it work on the motorized bike kits. Treatland didn’t have the OEM intake so they sold me some reed cage that fits with modification. I had to space the reed cage to not hit the cylinder with plastic spacer and thick cork gasket. I believe the increase in volume is not making my engine run. I know it has spark a
Its going to be a new intake for a clone pumper carb that has the pulse nipple on the carb, or to make an adapter plate like what saabsonettguy said. Not gonna lie im just assuming this carb works so i was looking for a rebuild kit for it just in case. And lol yes this is actually a hybrid motor i made with those chinese bike engine kits. Im sure crank case compression is gonna be different than a
Im trying to use a pumper carb on my qt-60 set up but she only wants run with starting fluid. The issue really seems to be with the carb i put on it. It comes from a kt100 kart engine that had its signal come from the crank case. Its a tillotson carb, the markings say C200. Im honestly looking for a simmilar carb or a rebuild kit cause of the intake manifold i made for this carb with the bolt spac
Can't be any more than 2mm. I've have 1mm karropak sheets to compare it to. Not gonna lie I have stacked karropak gaskets in the past to get proper squish but I do have a sheet of copper at my disposal.
I figured if I raised the cylinder I would get more power with the third transfer opening more and the exhuast fully opening. I would remove material from top of the cylinder to get around .8 squish
Hey I'm doing a yt60 project and my piston does not clear by 1mm or so and I was wondering if any adverse affects could happen because of that. I plan to raise the jug and deck the top buttttt I was wondering if this was okay in the meantime
