If i do a leak down test on my honda hobbit do i need to plug the carb shouldnt the reed stop air? Thx
Sorry I miss wrote that the boot came off the new carb I think he put it on the old one for some reason
When I bought the moped he gave me both but it does the same thing with the other carb I orderd another carb bc apparently you can't order just the boot and he only had one boot it was on the old one I put it on the new one then put it on
i am still having problems with the idle on my hobbit i have repIaced all the fuel filters and line as well as putting a wabron carburetor i took it off earlier and cleaned it i put a dr kit in and replaced the crank with a super stuffy crank i have not replaced any jets i have continuously adjusted throttle i sprayed the cylinder and case and so on with carburetor cleaner the only place i get a c
Let me rephrase this when I start it it idles normal for a couple of seconds the goes to full throttle and then I shut it off but thats only when I got it choked if I flip the chokre off it dies if I give it gas I can keep it idling for about 10 more seconds till finally it dies
Yea news seal gaskets and everything
So I know I'll seem like a da after saying this but what your saying is the carburetor can't keep up?
Yea is stock what do you reccomend?
Alright I got a 78 honda hobbit pa50ii I put a dr kit in in and I put a stuffy crank in it and when I bought the guy gave me a wabron carburetor for it I also put it on I finally got everything together and when it cranks it goes full throttle for some reason any suggestion I tried messing with the screws on caburator they didn't seem like they were effecting anything tho
I took the carburetor off and its was fool of gas
Yes everything is stock except I put a stuffy crank and a dr kit in
I agree with this I had fun rebuilding my moped engine I've only seen it run for at most ten seconds mainly bc I just got it to crank today but I've been stoked the whole way through
Thank yall both she's starting now but I got a intake problems bc it keeps dying
oh okay so if i wanted to change the timing i would have to adjust the points?
thank you so when you reassemble you dont have to time it because of the key?
Can someone please tell me the timing for a Honda hobbit? I have not found anything directly related to the Honda hobbit timing. thx in advance
If I pedal my hobbit the drive assembly will spin but the alternator will not but occasionally the altenator will catch and raddle like its going to spin but let go..... but if I turn the altenator with my hand the drive assembly will spin with no problem no raddle
looking for suggestions for carb thx
Kinda what I'm thinking you think the case will be alright and where can you buy new cases?
No because with the lever disengaged both sides are free with it engaged only on side of the crank seems to be spinning
So I recently bought a honda pa50i the guy told me that he was revving it up and all of sudden it popped well I brought it home and looked for spark didn't see none tested compression only got 35 psi but then I noticed that the altenator was not spinning with the pedals but if spun it by hand it did spark any suggestions on what I might need or what may have caused this thx in advance
Well thanks lmao so I'm assuming that you don't have to get the case milled for that one
I was told if i wanted to put a stage 6 kit on my hobbit that i would have to bore out my case can anyone that has done this confirm or deny thx
