Thank you for the advice and thoughts.So far I disconnected horn/kill switch.Replace coil spark plug wire from my other running mobylette same model.Checked ground strap.Looking at wires to see if anything looks wrong.Still nothing.Trying to get the novie nut off and it’s not coming .Anyone know of a good video on electric of motobecane?Going to try more todayThank you

Was wondering thoughts on what could be the problem or steps to take in searching for the problem . Bought this stock Motobecane last year after cleaning carb and new spark it was a runner all last year and this year until yesterday. I was messing around with the back bulb and put in another took it down the street for a moment and than it died and could not get it started. Changed spark plug than

Omg thank you for talking me through this!!! I thought the plug was good because it was getting a spark!! Seems like it was not true!!! New spark plug worked!! Lesson learned always start with new plug. Strange because it look so clean....Thank you everyone for your help!!

Hi thank you.Actually when it was running the horn only worked when the lights were not on. Wouldn’t I not get a spark if there was a short in the wiring?I am getting a nice blue spark ??

Adjust timing when it was running this summer. Forgot exactly but I looked it up and did what was recommended.Yes fuel is getting to carburetor:)Thanks

Was wondering about the main jets? I started with a 58 ran great changed it to a 60 ran the same? Is it supposed to change much between jet sizes?

I just put in 15.15 AV7 SHA carburetor In my 1979 Moby. Probably a sillyquestion but it is reviving. Loosened the throttle cable a bit. Was wondering could the choke cable also be to tight? Maybe throttle cable stilL to tight? Thank you for any advice.Bks

I did find an air leak here it was a metal to metal connection. Fixed and it runs Much better:))Though this bike has much less power than my 1979 motobecane ... I can only barely make it up a hill need to pedal. I have a main jet of 64 on this carburetor.If I play with the throttle I can get more or less power.. didn’t do the points yet ..Any thoughts?Thank you for any help

I Am new to the moped world just picked up a running puch. There is no power at slow speed if there is any incline at all? It just Boggs down to almost a stop. Once I get rolling 15mpr there is definitely more power. Was wondering what I should look for. To get power at lower speeds. Thank you for any ideas
