can anyone confirm what gasket should I use? Standard - flat gasket? Oring? No gasket at all? The head was part of a 70cc dmp (kstar) set. A standard gasket was included, but I'm not sure...
Pls help if anyone has a right port map for 2hp cylinder in stock condition? Below I attach what I calculated from my 1 hp.In my opinion it needs a lot o work. Probably the most difficult will be going higher with transfers to increase duration. Intake and exhaust also need work (for longer duration and to compensate blowdown after transfers porting) but it seems much easier to do.Does anyone have
After some great advice from many users, I am moving forward with my project. It turned out what I have is actually the worst cylinder there is :) The infamous 1hp, severely restricted, nickasil wall cylinder.I want to port it.However irresponsible this may sound, I think I'm ready. Before I got my maxi I didn't know a lot about mopeds, but I'm fairly familiar with 2t engines, and I
Can anyone tell me if these parts look usable? I have a piston and cylinder marked as "2". Manual differentiates between "Alu-cylinder" and "Magnum" sorting tables. How do I figure which one I have?PISTON - manual says 37,955 - 37,965 mm for both Magnum and Alu, mine currently is 37,960 mm so it seems good. It has some minor scratches at the top (probably someone didn
Do you know if I can buy a replacement front glass for my puch maxi headlight? I bought the moped like this, and I would like to keep the old headlight with its rustic and grungy feel. I can't seem to find it online anywhere...
Seems like good advice. Thx Graham. I think I'll do just that. Try to make it run the best I can in stock condition, and then try to upgrade from there.
From what I've heard the clutch and pipe (and a better air filter) should give me more torque and acceleration in the lower RPM range that I'm looking. I'm surprised with what Seth says as I've read a lot of bad things about the stock clutch on this very forum.Basically I want to replace every gasket, seal and bearing and I want to keep the budget under control. So my reasoning
I'm starting a new project with puch maxi N. It's in pretty bad condition overall right now and I'm not sure what to do.My goal is to end up with a bike that tops around 40 mph (I don't need more - it will be used for a daily commute in traffic), and has good acceleration in the lower end (that's more important for me for trafic lights statrs).I could just clean it and mak
