I have put the 125cc motor on it with semiautomatic shifting. 17T front gear. This is no longer a moped by any means, still moped tags. We're looking at 65 to 70. 26mm carb tuned with proper jets and hiperformance CDI. Fast 125cc with 4 speeds. Reliable 4 stroke engine. My son rides it everywhere.

I bought a SSR Lazer 5 for my son. Mainly because of the honda clone motor. They're versatile and interchangeable. It has a 72cc upgrade and 22mm carb. It mostly runs in the upper rpm and will do 50 easily. The problem is the gears 1st is too low and 2nd is too high and cannot be shifted. It's scary with cars because it doesn't start fast enough. With that being said we are in the

I think there’s a way to cut the pink wire going into the CDI and it kills the governor. On a side note he’s just trying to ride, you guys sound like Harley riders ragging on a Honda rider. I didn’t think you cared what people rode. Boy was I wrong

As you can see it also powers the speedo light. Does it work? If it does there is a break in the line. If it doesn’t find the brown and white wire and where it connects to the horn and test if it has voltage. Does the horn work?

The governor is in the CDI unit. Just buy a variable timing unit with no or changeable governor. A bought a variable CDI but I don’t think it has a governor it sure doesn’t want to stop

I also have one. Whygostock has gearing and parts. Also Orion. The thing is that it won’t change between 1st and 2nd without stopping. So your either in one or the other. By gearing it to go faster you can ride in 1st most of the time and do 35 or so. When you can get on a flat straight with that gearing it will do I’m sure 60 or more. Mine does 50 with stock gearing and 72cc big bore. 14 or 15 on

I figured it out. The charging system only trickle charges the battery it won’t run the lights. The lights run off the stator when the engine is running. I’ll have to covert the AC to DC with a rectifier and cap like everyone says on YouTube. I just couldn’t figure out why no one took the easy way. You live and learn

I have a SSR Lazer 5 that has your typical Chinese wiring with AC headlight and taillights. I installed leds on the taillights and of course they wouldn’t work on ac. So I thought I could just run it all off the battery instead of the ac from the rectifier. The battery went dead. What are my options on this is it too much for it to handle and I need a rectifier on yellow wire or is there another
