Check out @rankinepreformances on insta, he made my bravos airbox. I know he makes a sweet metal one for the si that mounts to the frame. But also idk if you're keeping all the variables the same for both bikes, like same size/type carb, same intake and filter etc. And then just only making the engine be different. From what I understand, the simo cdi and the malossi cdi are made by the same company. Idk if thats 100% church, but someone smart told me that

Spent some time today mocking up the MHR pipe a little and replacing transmission gearing. Side play came out nice and is tight as everyone has told me with the overange kits. Shout out to cheetahchrome for the beautiful transmission rebuild tutorial.

I am wondering what people have done for forks on their Si. I have a set of preload EBR's I could try but Si's are a weird 40mm ID head tube. I have seen Euro dudes with pit bike stuff (but don't know specifics on them). Has anyone done a fork swap on a Si? If so, any tips or what? Thanks.

I’m not finished with my bike, but I swapped my Si forks for Grande forks! I basically lathed a spacer that slips over the triple tree post, and sits at the top. Then used Si headstock bearing assemblies, which actually spaced out perfectly. I tried a few ways and this looks the best IMO.

Si was a 27mm tube!

Turns out the EBR's were not the move. I checked with some friends in Italy and they told me most everyone runs pit bike forks. Joe suggested that too and I thought what the heck - let's see! I bought these:

Yea 150 plus shipping. The one he 3d printed me is made of abs or something, it's pretty solid. But it actually works as well. Just twist the nob and you can notice the difference in richness choking some air out makes. I made a thread on here of all the boxes specs, I'll see if I can find a link

Now for a leak-down test with Michael Buble machine. Years ago I made this leak-down tester out of a blood pressure cuff, some brass fittings, and a step-down hose. You can pick all the fittings etc off Amazon, including the digital readout. Best $20 I have ever spent building bikes.
