Clapped? You mean the main spring busted?

Re: 1 simple trick to improve stock Puch Maxi forks

Something is very wrong, maybe the part of the fork tube where the spring screws in isn't holding?

We can't tell over the internet, take that shit apart and look at it, they have all the instructions in the manual. Rebuilding stock maxi forks is one of the first things I do to a new bike

Fuck man you love the greasy shit, don’t you? I haven't rebuilt a fork yet, but i guess thats next on my training calendar.

Re: 1 simple trick to improve stock Puch Maxi forks

I don't love it but it takes like 20 minutes and makes a massive difference in handling. Get a pile of rags and some mineral spirits and rubber gloves.

Re: 1 simple trick to improve stock Puch Maxi forks

yea, it took me like 20 minutes. I hate grease too. I wore rubber gloves and had rags/places to set greasy parts down while I did everything.

It was great.
