I've had plenty of puch points bikes over 10k rpm, I wouldn't worry about that. If you need help getting it a little faster start a thread on here, a lot of times a few little tweaks get you from 46 to 50
Jesse is just being cocky since he was doing 50 on an av7 with a gurtner back in 2006.
I don't think rules or bragging rights or any of that really matters, if you want to do it for yourself as a challenge for whatever reason with whatever parts it's cool. I think a fast stock bike is usually more reliable than the same speed on a kit too, they vibrate less and don't tear shit up. 50 or even 45 is almost always fast enough for a group ride.
