Gotta dumb question, can I join the 50/50 club using a 50cc kit OR is it stock modified cylinders only? Asking for a friend........

I've always understood it as any 50cc kit. It is more impressive with a ported stock cylinder though. A 50/50 stock cylinder e50 is more impressive than a Polini av10 but I think both technically count.
I think you can claim 50/50 for a kit, still isn't easy. A 50cc av-10 with cases and the whole works is pretty challenging to build and tune.

Im thinking Puch
It's as hard as you wanna make it!
I am hoping to port a stock tomos cyl for this...
Stock A55 Cylinder: Easy Route
Stock Puch 1hp Cylinder: Hard route

And you know I'll take the hard route!
You know it dude!
steel sleeve restricted puch cylinder is very hard mode.
And keep it PP for exxxtra hard

I'm definitely keeping it piston port for a little extra fun!

The one I was talking to you about today. The open transfer one. Some states or all the kits idk 🤷🏼♂️ had a 8mm bushing pressed in the intake. The one I did I heated it up and knocked it out with a punch. Kit has lots of potential.

I gotta an a35 cyl, not the cheater a55. Ha!
I have it started already just need to make some time to finish it up.
Nice thing about the a35 is that you can go huge on the ports without losing all your bottom end.
Bad thing is the transfers suck and it's hard cast iron.
The 38mm alukit is a nice middle ground, technically it's a kit but it's really just a aluminum stock cylinder the way it's ported.
^^^ Truth. I have done several for people since I don’t own one. I have one at my house that I am holding fro a friend…..I may make it just just because 🤷🏼♂️ Have a pipe and everything for it. Hummmm
I use the round dremil metal cutting bit and it works awesome! Zips through it. I ruined a set of bits that I use for aluminum, mainly because the cast is so hard. Bent a bit and it reeked all kinds of Havoc in a port.

This is the route I took on my Maxi, though I used the Airsal version, I built this bike for a Zeros 50/50 group winter build-off
54 on 50
I have since added a ported 64cc Tomos Airsal to replace the 50 kit, now it does 55 but has much better pull then the 50 kit, but truth be told it was cooler with the 50
Anyone wants to play mopeds? Only rule is E50 cases and and factory 38mm (hero doesn't count 😅) puch cylinder OR factory 38mm A35 cylinder. Sky is the limit with anything else! What ya say?!? Get in here!

Definitely! The streetmate stock piston port cylinder makes 4hp I believe?
I have an extra a52 streetmate cylinder if your interested. The transfers are massive on the cylinder!

I actually have a good top end I took off my streetmate but there is no fun in that! I have to be different and do it the hard way.
Why can't I do a hero cyl?

Not the 43.5 cylinder. If you have a 38 it's fair game.
Hell I'll even allow a a35 with a35 cylinder if it gets more people to play.......
I have a 50cc hero cyl as well as the 65cc one. I feel like my 50cc is the 38mm version.
I am also building the a35 cyl for a tomos.

Do I smell a challenge?!? 🤔
