Anyone here tries them? Was thinking it will be good for first time doing jetting since I guess it isnt very complicated. Or should I go with something more complicated like a vm20 or phbg or oko?
The step up to a PHBG / OKO / whatever from a single jet carb can be rough, but worth it if you have stubborn tuning issues or need more performance.
I know PHBGs and have a ton of parts for them so that's what I use, so that would be my suggestion.

Honestly if your new to the game I recommend VM18’s over the 20s. Easily tunable.
I love PHBGs the most but not as forgiving as the VM18s. Like wormdirt says there are tons of parts to get a fine tune on the PHBGS
Same reason I didn't go past basic programming on the commodore 64. If it's too difficult I lose interest. I'm a simple bing man. Recently picked up a couple real 15mm bings, and on the za50 70cc treats kit with 19/38, oh she's more than enough. Not really sure why people do the whole reeds and 19mm, these are mopeds. Anything over 45 just get a motorcycle I think..

Honestly anything over 30 is classified as a motorcycle according to the laws. We big reed, 15+mm carb, big pipes, wild ass clutches, ton of gear are what we call gear heads. We never get enough weather it's a moped, motorcycle, car, truck, boat ect. Some of us live for it. And yes I have a few stock mopeds also.
What makes vm18 more tunable than vm20?
The fact that 20mm is too large for most moped setups. I have had both and find them to be fairly easy either way. I do like the easy jetting change on the vm20 tho. Not having to drop the float bowl is boss!
Welp, it will be a ajh clone with a diy pipe that will not hit very hard, will change it down the line tho.
