Somehow i've never really used compression, not quantitatively. Like, if it's too low you know it, and I agree with the original idea that going super high can wind up just making things more difficult and hotter and potentially limiting max RPM
but like, i'll measure squish, and adjust it. I'll measure timing and adjust it, but I've never tried to meet a specific compression as a tuning point. Especially since clearly there's a buncha variability in the measurement
I like it, it's a nice thought. You can't control what you dont measure, and there's an optimum somewhere
