av10 Variotop shimming? reverse model?

Scottee doesn't know. /

adding this variator to an AV10 build. mobylette 50v

the variator doesnt line up with the pulley with out some spacing. ( alot of spacing)

a stack of washers led to only a scary few threads for the nut to tighten.

we used less washers for a slightly misaligned pulley but as the nut tightened the variator on the crank it was sandwiched into the case and wouldnt turn.

solutions=

*** theres a correct low profile shim to use?

*** the reverse variator would have closer pulley alignment.

Is your driven pulley spaced wrong? Do you have the right engine mount spacers, head?

polini head + kit

its a doppler pulley ( clutch version) up against the bushing for the pedal shaft.

the pivot spacers in the head are stock. with a spacer on the stator side to push the engine to the variator side as far as possible.

im reading they can be ground down or replaced with thinner ones.
