Morini Kitting options

So recently I got a bunch of M01 morinis and Ive been trying to decide what to do with em. I have a polini kit on one bike that's got two divits, so Im afraid to push it but I REALLY like the power of it.

Ik there're eurocylindro kits on dos so I wanted to know if it worth it to bore out a case for the 45mm, stick with a 42mm, or just have a reliable stock bike instead.

Or could I stick m01 internals in an m1 case, get a 43mm athena and go down that road. (the cost of these together is close to that of the 45mm kit)

Also the rest of the polini's sleeve is good, and my piston is new.

Any thoughts?

Don't bore try and find a kit on the morini lovers Facebook. There not much out there so good luck though

Re: Morini Kitting options

I have the gila m1 65mm kit. It’s powerful with a million vm 18

Re: Morini Kitting options

Just picked up a Colt with an M02. Has anyone had any experience with the Eurocilindro 45mm from Dos? https://www.doscycles.com/products/morini-eurocilindro-45mm-reed-valve-kit-for-m01-m02

did a little write up of what's involved with that gila kit. haven't actually had a chance to ride the bike though. there were some shimming issues when the engine got put back together that caused the rear wheel to be engaged to the pedals at all the time. it was my cousins bike and he hasn't had the time to dig back into it yet. that being said, with an mk3 pipe and a sha15 it sounded like a ripper when we started it up. Re: Morini Kitting options

Looks like you were running the 45mm Eurocilindro, not a Gila. I don't like the way the ports look on the Eurocilindro

Re: Morini Kitting options

42mm or 45mm Eurocilindro. Everybody's got choices 🇮🇹

I've heard bad things about the 42 Eurocilindro. I'm trying to get my hands on a polini for my M1.

Re: Morini Kitting options

What have you heard? It looks like airsal kit with reeds

Just that it doesn't perform well, nothing really specific.

Re: Morini Kitting options

yes, sorry. wrong kit. It was the 45mm eurocilindro we installed. I've been toying with a gila on a tomos recently must of just had it on the brain.

Re: Morini Kitting options

Didn't you have a problem with the m02 binding? I don't like the idea of boring out an already thin stock case
