Re: KTM clutch in a V1

Yea that's kinda my problem nobody has the broach i need so I'm looking at $100+ for just machining. The one I think I really need is just a bore thru though... like very specific diameter bore thru. I'll hit ya up.

Sooo we’re talking Sachs here right?

Re: KTM clutch in a V1

You don't need anything fancy to cut a keyway.

You can 100% do it in a lathe with a boring bar and a square piece of hss in the right shape and relief.

Hell you can do it in a drill press with one of those milling vices

I've done both ways myself.

Re: KTM clutch in a V1

You mean just plunge it in there like a shaper? Wow, that's never occurred to me but it makes sense.

Re: KTM clutch in a V1

You got it.

Scottee doesn't know. /

Hey graham. Any words on the botanas clutch?

Re: KTM clutch in a V1

Not as far along as I would like to be, I did get the motor rebuilt after a bunch of setbacks involving parts that didn't match up, but I don't have it fished and on the bike. I bought some shoulder bolts from McMaster-Carr and springs and the pins Todd suggested. Just gotta find some time to button everything up and get it on a bike
