Post a picture, I'm guessing you have a V1. Go to Treatland.tv, buy a kit and a bigger carb/exhaust

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

I’d start with a circuit pipe and a 15.15, it’ll give you a chance to get to know the bike and if you’re still not satisfied get a polini.

Exactly. People always Jump in and start chasing speed out of the gate. I know I’m not you, but my personal experience with friends doing the same thing is they have a good running bike to start. Then they put a pipe and a crab on and they are happy. Then they want to put a kit on a stock bottom end because it is easier then full rebuild……then they have a bad time. Shit starts breaking and it becomes a headache.

Can you post a picture definitely would like to see it.

V1 kits are out of stock everywhere right now, unfortunately.

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

You can’t just slap on a kit! Blake over at Dos has some parmakit 48mm kits polini is selling them directly on eBay. Other than that you can’t find any. Along with the kit you need to weld the clutch pins and add Springs along with a pipe which nobody really has too many pipes. Dos Has a few but they’re for Puch which fits no problem. Go to fb and search for lovers of the Minarelli. I’ll see you there!

I see polini minarelli scooter kits on ebay, but none for the V1 (though there are some pistons and intakes).

I guess I didn't consider the parmakit because I've heard that they're trash.

Start out by welding your clutch pins, putting some blue springs on, get a circuit pipe of some kind for sure.

Since it's stock, just get a 15mm intake and a SHA but you're gonna want a Mikuni for a kit (way easier multistage carb to tune than Dellorto)

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

What do you guys mean you keep saying well the clutch pins

You can also get quite a bit out of a stock cylinder with some mild porting. This one already runs 35 with stock pipe and 12 carb.

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

I bought a super cheap kit 44 bucks with a carb n plug n gaskets and the whole shebang but it said it was for an ATV or pocket bike. Chinese I'm sure. Buuuuut with a little. Well kind of a lot of modifications I made it for my minarelli safari .

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

I had to shave down the cooling fins (I know I know) to have it fit past the nubs on the case, cut the. You der skirts nearly flush and I actually picked up a custom cnc spacer from treatland but the cool thing is now it'll accept tons and tons of different puch kits, and there's a lot more of them available than for minarelli and they're my h. Healer. 80 dollar to 200 range instead of 350-600!!! AND IT WORKED! WELL KINDA.... LISTEN TO THIS SHIT...

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

Oh yeah and after I put that spacer on I realize now Ifni would've gotten it earlier I wouldn't have done that. I didn't take much off though, truly bare minimum. I used a file and a grinder not a saw. Probably at most 1/4 inch on any one fin, much less on most. But It took me like weeks putzin with this thing here n there. I actually made my own spacer out of part of a sink from home Depot, I'll show pics of that you guys will love that shit. But after getting it on, it started up and I ran it down the hill ran it for about 2 minutes and it sounded great felt great and then it puttered out on me. When I went to start it again it was making this shriek sounded like it 2as the piston as it only chirped at what 8n5hink was near top dead center. It still moved though. Not wanting to run it like that I opened it up again to find a buncha pixie dust which I cleaned out, reassembled. No more shriek. Great right? Wrong! Now all of a sudden I'm getting no spark! WTF. I've never had any spark issue with this thing and literally the day my Frankenstein project all comes together everything's great but it can't won't start. Tested the plug against the head nothin. Switched the plug still nothin so it's the electrical not the plug. Switch is on, I'm fuckin heated. My buddy was over the other day and he had opened up my tail light just fuckin around and I explained to him how I jumped the one bulb to avoid safety switch thing and I'm wondering if he fucked with anything I. There. Does anybody know if both bulbs are on that circuit or if it's just one of them I know I could just short all three together and avoid the whole thing but I'm just curious I thought it was the only the one bulb.

But other than that all there is is what condenser and coil? I've never opened the side with the points up before. But I have manually set my ignition points on my Honda cb350f (taught my self and it worked first time I tried. I used my test light ( kind that looks like a screwdriver with a light bulb in it) and I replaced 2 condensers. So if I had to check that out I ain't scarred. But wtf I'm Gunna just wire it for spark and take it from there. But 2hat are the fuckin chances you know. Right when I thought I. Ready to rip. Story of a shade tree moped mechanic am I right?

Just thought I'd update as I said I would. I'll keep posting throughout the day or weeks fuck. Rubber side down for now

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

before you go nuts, post a picture of the motor and side covers of the motor. most safari bikes came with a V1 however some came with a C2 and some with the V1HL. while the cylinder for the C2 and V1 are interchangable the V1HL is not . then we can help sort you out some more. i have the C2 and the C3 with the vertical motor/variated.

Re: I need Minarelli freaks! Big bore kits that will fit my Safari

No spark? Ground the blue wire from the magneto it’s the ground for the ignition coil and also the brake bulb haha no brake light means no spark.

Also need c3 safari pics, I have some c2 jawns never seen a c3 one
