DRs run hot. Good advice^^ and do the WOT plug chop to make sure you're not running lean. Easy to do with a PHBG. Better to err on the rich side with the main jet.
Budget for an aftermarket variator ASAP and upgrade the clutch springs to 1500 to keep it from dogging during decel. The only advantage to using the airbox is running in rain. You'll eventually get tired of wrestling with the frame and extracting the carb for every adjustment.
