DR 70cc kit Urban Express ORDERED....Now what!

Matt Grantonic /

I wanted to take advantage of the Treats 15% off coupon so I just grabbed a DR 70cc kit, I'll be getting a new carb as funds allow. The Urban is completely stock (except for the BX31 belt) and runs OK but certainly has carb issues but its on the way out anyways. Questions I have to get it road worthy with the DR....

1) Is it necessary to replace the head?

2) Is it necessary to replace the crank?

3) Jetting range with stock exhaust?

I'm not looking for anything over 40mph and will be happy with the upper 30's in case that affects the answers to the above questions. Currently hitting a solid 32 but horrible take off due to the BX31 belt which I like to replace.

Thanks, Matt

Head might not fit, the dome is a different diameter, you'll find out.lol

You might not need a new crank but certainly need a rebuild or at the very least new seals.

With the stock exhaust you won't see much improvement. Maybe even less power than stock. Gonna be super restrive

Jetting, buy the next 5 sizes up from what you have and start with the biggest, go down until the four stroking juuuussst stops.

If your bearings sound like this replace them

My big end bearing on crank was bad too.
