1977 Garelli eureka flex 49cc CDI Upgrade From stock points & c

Ok here we go, trying to put CDI module #2013 pietcard, & internal ignition coil #3003/03 pietcard. On the Garelli. NOTE: CEV 6933 counter clockwise rotation magneto. Ive not been able to find a lot of description on wiring for this modification, or if so couldn't find much transparency. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. Oh one last thing the reason for replacement, the internal ignition coil is bad, thought about reminding coil magnet, but figured upgrading would be better.

the stator coil is bad? did you ohm it out? maybe try grounding the brake light wire (blue) and make sure that isn't the problem.

if you arent doing performance stuff, the stock points is going to be your best bet.

I have put the pietcard on my garelli. I got it timed well but since you have to go keyless it would end up slipping a little and throwing the timing off. I ended up going back to an original points setup.

But please let me know any specific questions you have. The wiring on those is super simple and you only need to remove the one coil from your plate. Just be careful when snipping wires in case you need to go back to a points setup.

You also should remove your points since they are not being used, but it puts wear on them still.

You need a timing light. Read up on timing with a timing light. You have to lap your crank shaft for the flywheel to stay in place. Read up on lappin a crank shaft. Both topics can be found in the wiki on this site.

Have fun, good luck.
