I bought my 50v about 12 years ago when I was 17. Rode stock for about two years and then went to a Parmakit 74cc, a janky circuit pipe, and 16 SHA. At the time I thought I did a ton of other stuff but looking back it wasn't much more than bar and a seat.
It was fun but I didnt really get the Moby thing until this year. I just wanted to make it reliable. So I got a La Party CDI and a Black Gun pipe. A friend of mine saw it and lent me a 21 PHBG. And then a four year relationship ended and I want deeper into the Moby hole than I thought possible. The goal was 60mph; 55 is all I got.
So in the last four months I have done a crank, variator, case matched, head, cdi, pipe, carb, intake, bars, controls, lights, and I have a few parts on the shelf that never made it. Meanwhile me and my friend are talking about making a super ripper. Then I blew out the threads in the Parma. Tried to JB weld the fucker back in and it lasted about 10 miles. So with a long Maine winter ahead it's time to build the bike.
I'm not sure the speed I'm trying to go but fast is the goal. Curently I have some parts in the mail. An Airsal 70cc Water cooled kit. A Polini race case from treats. An airbox from an ausi Kart comapny, and a 28mm intake. I'm hoping to do a PWK 28mm Stage six. not sure the radiator yet but the mizzimoto seems right. Party cdi, er3 vario, ebr fork, wheels, dics, swing arm, shock, basically all of it.
