Dam son!

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Yes please. How much? I will probably need to get in on the second run due to low cash flow currently.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Sander Mulder /

I dont want them to be too expensive, probably around €40-50. I think that’s reasonable for laser cutted 2mm stainless steel.

Eng.: First race is planned on 10 april. Dont know if its still continuing due to Covid.

I've made a new cylinder head today, changeable combustion chamber.

I decided to run smaller spark plugs (10mm instead of 14mm shaft), should be better for performance.

This head is almost finished, only need to make the thread for the sparkplug.

Inner head has a clearance of 1/100st MM or 0.0004 ″ inch, pretty tight ;) '

Omg 😳 dude wtf

How did you designe the combustion chamber shape ? Did you use some kind of programm

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

That head is a game changer! Make these for sale too brotha!

didn't use a programm, only a nice shape and good volume. made with some radius cutting tools on my lathe.

unfortunatly, those are too expensive to make and sell.

but there are already Kreidler heads with changeable chambers,

https://www.vhs-tuning.nl/kreidlershop/product/347-kreidler-bmp-cilinderkop-met-losse-verbrandingskamer

easy to fit on a puch engine.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Thanks for the link to the kreidler heads. But you let me worry about what is too expensive... I feel like I have seen clutches for over $300 and cylinders over $600. So unless the head is over $300 I'm betting it would be something some tuners would jump on. Not all of us are quite as shop literate as yourself to make such wonderful toys.

But I totally get it if it is not "worth" your time. Ha!

Looks great! Just buy a lathe and make your own.

Having a lathe is the real game changer.

Just buy stock on eBay and go crazy

Why did u leave the plug center sticking up like that in the combustion chamber? I haven’t seen head designs like that

Some say its better, never tested it by myself on a dyno,

I see the wisdom in it. Did you make it for Es long reach plugs?

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

I know I gotta save my monies up and get at least a HF cheapo lathe. Then learn how to weld and I would be all set. Time and effort for sure.

Just got a part time job to actually have a cash flow again. Ha!

made mine on a cheap lathe,

a cool render ;)

I made the spark plug thread today, head is now ready to use. I've got some weird NGK spark plug with 2 bridges.

What I never understood was those stupid e3 spark plug and they would promote them using drag cars ( great another electrode to brake off a destroy the motor)

It’s like Jim bob using two lighters for one bucket of gas, it doesn’t matter!

Burning off unwanted gases with an after burn I do understand

This is super rad. Never thought of having head inserts on an air cooled head.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

very cool. never seen an air cooled modular head.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Gopeds used modular combustion chambers on some headkits, 13:1, 15:1, 17:1 alky hell yeah

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

I've made some progress this evening. engine is almost ready to run. It has enough compression ;)

Digital PVL ignition on 6.5mm BTDC

hope to get it running by the beginning of next week. Also some dyno runs then. Our goal is at least 15WHP

I don’t know about 15 whp...

Case inducted, add a scooter kit and use that third transfer for what it’s good for

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

It Looks Great! What intake is that?

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Well that intake is sitting on some vforce reeds I know that.

Cant wait to see some vids of this bad boy.

Re: Puch maxi Track toy

Sander Mulder /

indeed a Vforce 3 reed valve, originaly from a KTM sx65.

I've made the stainless steel manifold by myself.
