2000 Kinetic Magnum performance upgrade

I own a stock Kinetic with under 700 miles on it. I have been reading and trying to figure out carburetor upgrades. I'm looking to buy a 13/13 carburetor but just dont know what size jet or jets to buy. I'm trying to get a little more power out of the bike. I do have a universal biturbo muffler not installed. I will install if it helps. If anyone could give me any advice with this upgrade TY. If any other pointers out there that would be great help. Thanks again.

Re: 2000 Kinetic Magnum performance upgrade

I've never heard of a "universal" biturbo. They were made for tomos and Puch bikes.

Also, just so you know it's a Vespa engine. Kinetic made copy's of the ciao/bravo/grande engine.

Look for jetting info for Vespa mopeds and you'll probably be pointed in the right direction.

I understand that the 2 companys are pretty much using the same parts. I'm just trying to find out what jet set up is good when using the 13/13 carb upgrade. This is a picture of the Universal muffler from biturbo. It can be welded or clamped however someone wants to configure it on their bike.

Here's a spreadsheet that will show you what other people have used for their jetting:

For similar mods most people are running jets in the 65-70 range but you'll have to find what works for your bike

Kinetic magnums are the best stock vespa

Keep the stock pipe, it's actually great. So is the stock top end. The carb should be a 12:12 which is as good as it gets without splitting your cases to port to allow flow for a larger carb.

What you want is a variator. On a stock kinetic magnum, with nothing but an upjet and a variator, I hit 47. Best stock bike ever

Alex...what variator did you install? What size weights? Did it require any mods to the stock shaft? I agree that updating the variator is the cheapest, easiest performance mod.
