Anyone know how much power I can send to an mb5 rear wheel before I start to run into problems? The engine is about 18hp 2 stroke from a Yamaha blaster. I've never delt with stamped wheels like this and wondering if I should add some reinforcement before I go out and fold it.

Pater's MB5 had the rivets loosen up on it, had 3/4" lateral walk around turns.
You can't visibly see the rivets loose, but the whole wheel would wrack. If you were really confident, you could replace with hardware but I don't have the desire to make a jig to hold the whole rim in alignment

That's plenty to throw you for a loop , if you're not paying attention .
Can the rivets be tightened/reset ? Or do they tend to enlarge their holes ?

Yeah you could do one at a time and should be ok. Drill one out, replace with new hardware, repeat.

Yes. I love the blaster motor. Not super high strung and be perfect for a road bike.

That'd work if things were Tite to start, but once they're loose there's no saving them
