Vm18 tuning

I’m running a mikuni vm18 on my Tomos a35 with an airsal 70cc kit. Once I get to about 40(on the speedometer) it starts to cut in and out, should I upjet to a 75 main jet instead of the 70? Where can I find these needle/ main jets?

Re: Vm18 tuning

Carbs don't come pre-tuned. Yes you need jets, yes you need to tune it to your setup.

Treatland doesn’t have the jets

Re: Vm18 tuning

Just type in vm mikuni jets on the web. So many places carry them. Very common jet.

Re: Vm18 tuning

Isn't that an emulsion tube or something?

Treatland's jets work in my vm18's. Do you have some clone vm18? (edited)

Yeah, the ebay link you posted is the emulsion tube, not the jet.

If you have a VM18 that has round Mikuni jets, then you are running a VM18 from some other OEM application, or a clone.
