Just where does one find 1/4" stainless steel ball chain for batavus clutch mod?

Is this the same stuff you used to find on keychains? Hollow steel balls dont' sound very durable? Will this mod last or be expelled from my clutch in tiny shards?
It doesn't need anything inside the spring. I have ran many like that with just the spring.
For how long? Did you put a lot of miles on it like that?
1/4" ball chain btw!
Hey Roff, is that a good clutch/magneto cover? Is it available?
i've done it with the fuel line segments in between the balls, that works pretty good.
i never thought to try what nate is saying but thats a pretty good idea
I have only done it on non stock bikes, like ported with a pipe or kitted. It has lasted reasonably long, the first bike I did it to was in 2008. Just try it and see. You can always put it back if it doesn't work for you.
The Bat I have had no balls in the clutch. Pipe and kit on it, and it ripped, but the clutch was worn down to the point that new clutch plates did nothing and it would always be engaged.
THanks gents, I got some things to try this weekend!
