Fishing line reel screwed into the flywheel?
Do you wrap it each time to start it? This would work for a ZA50 too methinks.

You might wanna clean you carb body!
Good work son! Iv done a few threads on diy pullstarts. Cheetahchrome is the king of building pullstarts.

Looks like it came from a push lawnmower engine like Briggs & Stratton.

i think you just leave the puller handle and cord hanging from there winging around like a helicopter fan

Alot of old snowmobile racers use this style but a metal one.
