So, there's obviously the puch gila, and there's minarelli rv4, what other big boi reed kits are there? Air or water cooled, show em off here.

Why the fixation with reeds, you could put Reeds on a piston port with an intake adapter or case induct it look up port mapping...

Curious what's out there, and it fits the bill for a project concept I've got knocking around my brain. I'm looking at scooter cylinders and stuff too.

And thanks for the tip, bro. I'll check out porn mapping and see if it can make me go faster.

Honda MB/MBX80, CR80/85.

The problem is most of the accessible big powerhouse motors with LC are case inducted, like minarelli horizontal, piaggio pentagon, am6, etc.

Yeah, I've been looking around and agree with you about most being case inducted.

I like minarelli RV4 and MR4, but they've got longer strokes than i was going for.

Probably Fred /

As far as hp and speed a small 64cc puch polini is about as fast as 47mm, 74cc puch Gila given same size carb so size don’t matter,

Puch Athena 45mm (like 68ish cc) reed kit is pretty fast, 45mm Treats reed kit (which is just a modded tomos kit) with a little work is fast too, several tomos 65-70cc reed kits fit puch and can be fast but intake exhaust angles are different and again size don’t matter as much as tuning,

Those all have lil bb transfers. Me want big boi scoot/bb moto shit.

And it's not for a puch (edited)

Re: Big cylinders with reeds in em

what do you consider big?

Good question. If we're going by easy cc numbers, prob nothing bigger than 80cc, but really I'm hoping to keep the stroke as short as I can for the sake of the engine it would go on.

As close to 40mm as possible would be best for stroke, and no more than like a 48mm bore?

Those numbers aren't necessarily written in stone tho (edited)

Minarelli vertical. AC and good selection of kits for them. Stage6,Mhr, etc

Stud pattern should work with lots of peds with a bit of work.

I like! Is that on DOS somewhere Blake?

Re: Big cylinders with reeds in em

Blake, I could use that as my molossi holed the piston. Too bad its not the aluminum version but Id sure like the RV bike run-in again.
