Re: Puch E50 Clutch Fluid Adventures

I’m thinking of going with that rotella oil, and at the expense of sounding clueless (I am) is there a difference between the T ratings (T3, T4, T6...) that I should look out for?

From quick searching it looks like T4 replaces the standard T, and T5/6 are synthetic?

I have put T6 in literally all of my vehicles except for garelli's when i was running a rubber. It's great

But yeah t6 and t5 are synthetic.

Here's shells basic info about them: https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/products/what-do-you-drive.html

get t6 cause it's in a cooler colored bottle

Alright alright the results are in,

1. 15w-40 -Rotella Perfect amount of slip, Blue springs 2 Turns out. 17x45 gearing, Case matched TCCD 70cc, NOS 15mm Bing and intake Tecno Boss. Excellent up hills, excellent take off. Hits 50 mph.

2. 5w-30 -Pretty good, almost as good as Rotella, But it lacks the slip needed for take off on hills. Can’t see any use for it really given how good Rotella has been.

3. ATF -We all know what this stuff entails. Grabby grabby= Slow Moped

Re: Puch E50 Clutch Fluid Adventures

Some one should test this stuff out During intercourses. That way we know the claims are real

ATF is what kills clutches and seals

Not because of the chemicals

But because it is a very poor heat sink without a pump.

20w-50 for long life

5w-20 for funzos

Although the oil for Prius is a very good newcomer ,they use 0w-40 which fits well with the warm-up of a moped.

This is on v1s tho, so it's also got 20oz vs e50 4-5 oz

I know that’s why I used the word intercourses silly.
