Silencer on Turbo Circuit Exhaust

Bruce Edwards /

I have a Kinetic TSR with only 10.1 miles on it now. I put a high flow air filter and a #53 net and a turbo circuit pipe. The engine isn't broken in yet. can I cut off the silencer? It scrapes the ground.

Aww man. You soiled a NOS bike with a pipe?

Re: Silencer on Turbo Circuit Exhaust

Cut the silencer does nothing! A silencer keeps your bike quite.

It’s like shooting a gun with or without a silencer. A silencer has no ill effect on the gun and it actually helps to shooter perform better same with your bike.

A Silencer makes your bike better!

Re: Silencer on Turbo Circuit Exhaust

The silencer could provide the needed restriction to keep some containment within your expansion chamber so that it actually works. Might want to consider checking why it is touching the ground before just hacking it off.

A) If the silencer is on the ground, your pipe is not mounted correctly.

B) You can't just chop it off. Back pressure plays a large part in the functionality of the unit as a whole.
