Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

Definitely thought about ultra sonic. Karl has one I can use that is literally 2 blocks away. Also I can use the one at 2TopiaCycles but I am lazy. I had a metal can I filled it about 1/2 way up with carb cleaner and let it soak. Used one of the diamond files I have that is super pointy to scrape out the gunk. I got about 1/2 way done.

Wow! Stepehn is the best. Just when I think I have to beg to get a carb he hooks it up! And what do you know. He even bored it for me. I wonder if he made it as big as his? Hahah super stoked. Thanks dude!

LOL, yes it's the same size as the I did on mine. Yours came out better than mine because I oiled the bit and carb before drilling? Idk but yours came out WAY smoother than mine! I almost wanted to swap them out, LMFAO.

Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

Welp the modded exhaust was a success! Probably going to play with reeds next before porting? Who knows? I'm having too much fun with this right now. I started at 27mph and I'm up to 34mpn with just a little elbow grease. Still haven't cracked the motor open yet.

Man now I regret selling my vogue. It was so dumb and simple.

Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

Hell yeah, went from a 66 to a 71 main jet! Going to up jet a tad more. Brb!

Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

First pic is 75 main jet which it didn't like at all. It sounded like a machine gun when it hit 32.

Second pic is 72 main jet.

Third pic is 69 main jet.

Looks like 71 main jet is where it's at for now.

You had to look welp up? Is that not a common word by you? Maybe I have lived in the south too long?!?

Welp....it has not been long enough! I’m never going back to the cold windy ass Chicago Region. About to go for a ride on this sunny somewhat warm fall day!

I've seen it before . I just wondered if it has a special meaning .

I'm originally from the West Michigan area and up there , it's not used .

And , we won't be spending much time in the cooler seasons there , anymore .

Currently we're hopscotching around East Texas and , yes , it is sunny , but only 38° , presently . Too cold . I might get the FA50 off the trailer for a ride a bit later , when it warms up to the mid 60s . ;)

This is an amazing thread. The stock reeds into dual stage looks so great

Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

This is the most expensive single part yet! $39 shipped! Who's idea was it to make a petcock with 12mm x 1.00 threads?!?

Its because of the keychain

Re: Buzzards vs Barons Vogue Single Speed Build Off

Here's a Peugeot vogue petcock for 5,95€ i doubt it would cost another 30€ to ship it.

That's the wrong one. That's the 10mm x 1.0 not 12mm x 1.0. there is two different ones and I have the odd ball.

That's the wrong one also. Look at the threads. They are left hand not right hand.

Might just be a 'reversed' photo .

Why would Tomos use a left thread there ?

Anyway , you have one that'll work , so ...

It's def not a LH thread, it's just the photo editing

Let's try this again. Vogue is on the left and Tomos is on the right. If you look closely you will see two totally different thread direction. Remember that the Tomos is like Puch and has that nut on it to attach it to the nipple on the Tomos tank. Trust me when I say I stripped, Garelli, Tomos, Puch, motobecane, Morini and Peugeot trying not to spend $39......
