For considering a needle change of course you need to know the taper angle. More angle contributes more gas at full throttle and less angle less gas. Hopefully soon I will also calculate angles for the other Dellorto carbs.
Most excellent chart - its a keeper
Thanks!
How about Dellorto PHBG carbs even though I know that the two needles you need for most kits! And you don’t know cause you didn’t have over 200 2 cycle bikes go through your hands over the years!
Reed kit#7 needle
Piston port # 9 to 7 needle

Haha yes that’s the only two needles I know about and care about.
The w12 is sometimes worth a try in phbg minarelli, but i have a w7 in mine too

You really gotta get a new schtick.
Depending on atomizer size the needle you need varies.

There's hardly any variance in atomizer side compared to needle size - like 0.06 or 0.08mm for the full range? Compare that to the range of needle tip diameters, which goes from like 0.6mm to 1.8mm, so a range of 1.2mm by swapping needles vs. 0.06mm by swapping atomizers. So atomizer size doesn't determine needle size...

Just tried a W11, worked wonders for me with its fat tip, ripper 50cc reed engine. Might be due to my altitude. Stock setup for my engine uses W9.
