I currently am working on a 81 Honda express sr nx50 and noticed the fuel filter is placed inside the tank attached to petcock. I was wondering if I could modify it and run an external fuel filter?
Anything helps! Please let me hear the feed back.

Thanks!
I would get a "high flow" fuel filter from treats or your powersports place
The paper ones dont flow the greatest
Specially on a gravity feed set up.

If paper filters are good enough for the big 4 cylinder bikes with gravity feed , why wouldn't they be fine for a dinky moped ?
Once the paper is saturated , it'll flow plenty fast and filter much better than any 'high flow' filter .
What you talking about dinky? Haha just kidding but you think paper would be fine? I mean I don’t see what the issue would be either but then again I’m the one with a moped that still needs to get enhanced

For all intent and purpose , a paper filter is best . Specially one that filters to 60 micron or better .
I quit using screen type and 'stone' type filters many years ago . Both those filters work for the bigger stuff , but , that's what the in tank screen is for .
Awesome! Thank you thank you!
