E50 stroker crank, how is it?

Brandon Weiss (Detective brandon to you) /

Getting ready to build an e50 with an a55 top end, proma gp..have an HPI/weight that will swap onto it, and was wondering if I should spring for the 44mm stroker crank? Anybody have experience with it? Going for torque with the relative reliability/ease of starting a 50cc

Re: E50 stroker crank, how is it?

thats interesting, i assume you'll have to lower the ports a lil' bit? i cant remember haven't built with an A55 cylinder in years but its only 1mm off so shouldn't be a big deal.

I know 1.3 is the dimension puch/tomos deck height is different but i cant remember which one is taller and which one is shorter. I think the puch is taller, the piston is 1.3 down from deck when you put a tomos cylinder on a puch, does that sound right?

so it might end up with the piston .8 mm from deck at TDC and 1.8 mm below the ports at BDC? this is all too much math for me to do in my head right now, interested to see results.

Its real nice, definitely worth the extra $$. Deck height will be fine.

Gonna go for it! When I eventually get the motor together I will make a dedicated thread.
