I just recently put this on my Pinto E50 Polini 64 kit and seems to pull like a tractor. It pulls hard even to 9000 and the temps come close to 300 if I stay on the throttle for a mile or more. It's timed at 16.5deg. w/19 dellorto PHBG black Treats clone $60. with 88 main 45 idle #30 slide W7 needle 2nd clip from top..Anyone Try this Dio set-up on Polini...?
I have one on my treats kit with a tm24 and vforce, I put it all together and rebuilt my clutch and stopped playing with mopeds. I really should get this thing running just need to fix an airleak at the reeds and tune the carb. I took the dive into vintage scooters, why I haven't played with mopeds much.
Yea compared to the reeds that come with the kit it’s a big improvement. What pipe?

Yea those pipes are really well tuned, I stoped looking for another pipes after I bought one. They are so fucking quite a mid throttle too ( my nabes love me now) For the money you cannot go wrong. I’ll never know what a mlm pipe feels like but I think I’ll be okay. (edited)

I run a polini reed cage with non stock 4 pedal rubberized reeds and have great results with 19-21mm phbg carbs with my puch Polini kit.
The Dio is for big carbs I would think that would be overkill for a small carburetor but if you like it it runs good for you then that’s good
I used the Dio to run a large TM 24 which I did briefly, I just didn’t like the high jetting and horrible mpg,
I run regular estroil (derestricted) pipe and it’s pretty quiet too.

Maybe the new reedblock is making the most of the pipe, what’s your gearing?
Living in city sucks for any type of open roads to rip down so my gearing is 16/40. I am lucke I have new brakes....
