Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Shawn Manthey /

I see that treatland has urban express super stuffy crankshaft. Was wondering if anyone has experimented with stuffy crankshaft in an urban? If so what are some pros and cons of them. Thanks

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

I think that these educe crankcase volume methinks...heard that they can help with a good kitted build...something about the fuel/air charge....

Have I ever used one? No, sure somebody has tho. Why did I reply? No clue

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

I’ll prolly buy one or two.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

High torque urban builds snap stock connecting rods. It's a good investment / peace of mind.

Performance decrease due to any reduction to crankcase volume should be negligible.

Nah, had Crazy Wayne on my back to get one since he's messing with one of my bikes. I've been telling him to not turn my bike into a rocket, but sometimes he doesn't listen lol. Let's see how it works on this one, but it really should go onto the faster bike.

Well. It's purdy, but let's see how it runs.

Ooo aaaahhhh Purdy. Let us know how she runs when you get it in. Been thinking about putting new crank bearings in my urban and that is a good excuse to put a new crank in.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Very purdy! AND - it comes witu the worm gear already cut! (getting that on a Hobbit aftermarket was sooooo much work).

Keep us posted plz capt.?

OG Crazy Wayne /

Yes they did a very nice job of getting the gear cut for the oil injection.

Has a nice little fillet radius between the gear and bearing mount.

And the small end of the rod has two nice Oiler holes.

And they did some interesting balancing on this crankshaft.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Almost a shame to put it into service . ;)

Any updates?

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Could this go in a Hobbit case to mount a scooter vario?

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Good ideaR run the vespa stuff with it.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Urban input shaft in hobbit transmission with the right seal will get you scooter clutch and pulley in the back too.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Swap to hobbit case electrics hpi fire. What the heck?, Input shaft to hobbit tramsmishun..

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

Needs the 12mm rod. easy to go down, not easy to go up.

Re: Urban express super stuffy crankshaft

If anyone wants to try, I can pull my list of ProX rods that come close. There's a good one with 12mm and 84mm legth, so there's the nice upshot of the better geometry (base spacer or bunker building req'd tho).
