Compare performance- PA50II, min V1, tomos A52

So im in a situation, like many of you i have too many mopeds and need to thin the heard. i have a modded out hobbit i love and i'd like to build another... so im in a pickle. i have a somewhat more rare Tomos A52 kicker engine (no pedals) that came on a sprint, a complete safari with a V1 engine, and a complete Hobbit PA50II.

Which has more performance biased ? Pro's / Cons of each ? plenty of kits and tuning available for em? a solid 45-50mph (or a little more) reliable ped i guess is what im chasing. would like to keep just 1 and sell all the rest - if the A52 is the choice i could swap it onto the hobbit or safari frame or something else

thanks!

Ewww, don't put a Tomos motor on a hobbit.

I would choose a Hobbit over either of those. Dual Variation is the truth if you're concerned with power. A hobbit can go 45-50 on a stock-ish carb, kit, circuit pipe and TJT. And reliably at that.

if you have to sell one, sell the tomos. Would be easier to sell, and if you can only have one, it should be something a little more unique.

Re: Compare performance- PA50II, min V1, tomos A52

V1 is probably the easiest and cheapest to go fast. Polini kit rules, simple to install, and lots of parts available.

aha everyone hating on tomos.

unfortunately hobbit's are a pain to tune when you really get into it... however flip side of this, i learned a LOT about hobbits doing mine so im pretty familar with em.

thoughts on the hobbit engine on the safari ? sell the v1 and a52 for some build money ?

but then i just have 2 styles pa50ii tank top peds aha, 1 race and 1 reliable loaner

ugh,, options on options

Re: Compare performance- PA50II, min V1, tomos A52

I would also choose to build the hobbit. But I am more of a fan of variated bikes vs chain driven. Hobbit motors are built pretty basic and have readily available performance parts.

The only bike that's easier to go fast than a hobbit is a derb.

Hobbits are so easy to get fast as fuck. Now with all the available new aftermarket parts it's easier than ever. Better heads, variators,

And I can state definitively that more parts are coming and they're amazing af
