You've got the physics all wrong.
For an airbox to silence and not restrict you need to direct the sound back into the engine. But jbot how?
Domed terminal end of chamber and right angle air tubes inserted into chamber to allow air to flow but not sound to pass.

Every one of my bikes have a modified garbage shampoo bottle airbox and it cuts volume as much as you want. One can also turn the bottle to direct the sound in whatever direction you like. You also can adjust air flow by amount of tubes vs longer or shorter tubes to change jetting real time by changing cfm of air getting thru the carb.
