I just put 300mm shocks on my general 5 star. It has no rear fender and a 2.75” tire on a 17” rim. 300mm is the longest shock that still allows the wheel to spin off the ground for start up on the kick stand with my setup. Be careful buying shocks designed for larger motorcycles, they may be too stiff.
